This is part of the visitor's road through the Merritt Island Wildlife Sanctuary. That's actually the land where the Kennedy Space Center sits. Sometimes you can see video or pictures of rockets taking off while a flock of birds rises in the air or alligators watch the launch. That's because the refuge surrounds the Space Center. It's off limits to "regular" photographers during launches or I'd have some pictures like that of my own.
